Director and teacher Lydia Oey has a Bachelor's in Music Education from Oberlin Conservatory and a Master's in Conducting from Temple University, Philadelphia.
With over 20 years' teaching experience, preschool through college, she enjoys bringing music into the lives of little ones and their families, and mentoring new teachers. Her favorite instruments to play are Japanese Taiko drums, piano, cello and flute.
Theresa Jones has a Bachelor's in Music Education and a Master's in Elementary Education. She taught music and Band to K-12 students from 1994-2001 and spent the last two years teaching 4th grade and kindergarten in Oakland.
Theresa loves being able to teach and bring her daughter, Marcella, to work. They began Music Together classes when Marcella was 4 months old (she's now 1 year+) and so have seen the benefits of the program first hand!
Melanie Smith is a vocalist and movement specialist based in Castro Valley. She brings joyful innovation to her teaching in creative verse and whole body integration.
Melanie is inspired by teaching at her son's preschool and is looking forward to teaching the intergenerational classes with seniors and tots.
